The Hickman County Chamber of Commerce is conducing a five-part series of customer service training seminars. These seminars will help your business grow by training your employees with techniques for great customer service--FREE of charge.
Each seminar will have a different guest speaker each fourth Thursday of March, April, May, June, and July. A separate invitation will be sent out for each seminar.

Tour Hickman County. Available from the Chamber of Commerce and at selected merchants, tour maps are available for some of the most the twisty, curvey, scenic roads of the Hickman County area. Merchants displaying this poster stock the maps for sale.
The map set is slightly larger than 4" x 5", just right for a pocket, bag, or console.
The maps contain directions to Hickman County. Local merchants along the tour route have provided coupons for food, refreshments, and other items for tourists.
The pages are laminated for durablility and spiral bound. Each route has a short description, detailed map, and photos of some of the scenes along the way.

Exciting things have happened for the county as we move forward to a new year.
The Chamber celebrated with Center of Attention on November 8, 2008 with a ribbon cutting and Open House.Stop by and visit, they are located next to the Chamber of Commerce office on the square.
November 18, 2008, the Chamber cut another ribbon for Dermal Solutions Open House
from 10 A.M. until 6 P.M. They are located next to the old Post Office on S Central Avenue.
November 19, 2008, action moved to the East Hickman Public Library
for the Chamber to place an information rack of all the literature available about our county. Brochures, tourism information, data on the county, resources available, services offered and other vital pieces of information were supplied.
The Chamber expresses a thank you to
Hickman County Public Library and East Hickman Library for joining a partnership that will keep information flowing.

SPEAKERS/SEMINARS:
- Chamber Member Meetings: These regular member meetings include speakers on local issues and topics of interest to the citizens of Hickman County. Chamber meetings are open to the public.
- Candidate Forums: These forums are held at regular member meetings prior to primary and general elections.
- Periodic Seminars: Seminars are held at the request of membership interest. Past seminars have included the following: Small Business Start Up, Various Business Bookkeeping, Business Financing and other related topics.
- Open Forums: Open forums or roundtables are held several times a year at regular member meetings, which afford members and non-profit organizations the opportunity to share with the community their business updates and progress.
