The annual award, named in honor of William E. and Mable McDonald, recognizes a person, family, business or organization for their prolonged commitment to the betterment of the community.

It is also presented at the chamber's annual dinner meeting, held in July.

David Dansby, Hickman Co. Chamber of Commerce 2011 Citizen of the YearDavid Dansby is our 2011 Citizen of the Year for his tremendous level of involvement, be it cooking, coordinating the Imagination Library, serving as a key Clay Harris Theatre Group player, working in his church and serving as a CentervilleĀ aldermen (and much more). Other award recipients included Neil Jobe and Jack Kellar.
